Opening Ceremony of the ExhibitionThe Opening Ceremony of 2011 PSAChina International Exhibition of Photography Date: 14nd, November, 2011 Source: Original The opening ceremony before the judging of the 2011 PSAChina International Exhibition of Photography was open in the meeting room of PSA China at 9:30 am on Nov. 2nd, 2011, which meant the judging of the exhibition would begin. Nine top-class international judges including Mr. John Davis- President of PSA, Mr. Hengry C. NG- Vice President (Service) of PSA, Mr. Thomas Lang- President of Asia Pacific Chapter, International Exhibition Committee of PSA, Mr. Daduan Deng- Lead IR (International Representative) of PSA for the China Region, Mr. John Dean- PSA PTD Immediate Past Chair, Mr. Bill Dart-PSA Print Judging Consultant, Mr. Tom Icklan- PSA Electronic Image Division (EID) 1st Vice Chair, Mr. Zongqi Wu- IR (International Representative) of PSA and Mr. Dexiong Zheng- IR (International Representative) of PSA, as well as the staff of the committee of 2011 PSAChina International Exhibition of Photography participated in the ceremony. Ms. Li Wang, Chairman of the Committee summarized the status of the entries receipt and announced the arrangement of judges and awards in each section. Mr. John Davis, President of PSA, said “The exhibition is a celebration for photography. It’s an education and experience for participants, especially to see, appreciate and learn from the others. It is a chance to compete with the entries, to gain the acceptances or awards, to achieve the distinctions and to be listed on the PSA annual who’s who. It is a team going and friendship building experience for group of the club with the sponsor of the exhibition. In this case the people of PSA China. It is a valuable culture exchange to see the world with the eyes and lenses and other photography around the world. Finally, the most important to me, exhibitions are an activity which PSA believes and I believe, build connections, understanding and friendships between people from different countries, cultures, beliefs, ages, photograph experiences and circumstances. I’ The judging lasted for three days from Nov. 2nd to Nov. 4th, 2011. There were 132 awards from PSA, PSA China, Lens and Full Vision. The judging was formally beginning at 10:30 am. As per PSA international exhibition rules and PSA judging system, PSA China developed a judging system with Chinese and English interface which was praised by the committee and the judges.
